Every Beat of Her Heart

Grant has been wanting Ally for years, but he knew if he did anything about it, he’d lose her, his best friend. She’s helped him with his daughter, Cherie, after her mother’s death. Ally had been his best friend since they’d been teen-agers and Grant couldn’t bear the thought of seeing the disgust in her eyes like he’d seen in his ex-wife’s when he’d shown what he was really like, a Dominant. But there were forces that threw them together and he couldn’t keep his mind, let alone his hands off her. She was his and he had to convince her of that.

Ally was in love with Grant, only she knew she couldn’t have him, not with her secret. She was afraid that when he found out, he’d do the same thing her ex-husband had done before he left her, tell her she wasn’t a woman. But man, when Grant touched her, made love to her, she didn’t want to be anywhere else but with him and Cherie. Now Grant is talking about her moving in with them and she knows she has to leave before he finds out the truth and her heart would be completely broken.

Ms. Casper’s book is a delightful read. It is one that the reader will want to read again and again, just for the pleasure of being with Grant, Ally and Cherie. The author has infused not only her main characters, but also her secondary characters with such emotion that it’s hard to remember this is a book you are reading. I hope that we see more from Ms. Casper’s and these characters in the future.
