Gabe’s Prize

He was always in control, even his job was one of control; Gabe Blackhawk is a detective and a leader of the SWAT unit. But lately Gabe has been having trouble staying in control, the ghosts of the men he’s had to kill visit him during his sleep, and he’s starting to crave alcohol again after ten years of sobriety. Helping a friend’s fellow FBI agent to find a bomber gives him something to help keep his mind off his problem, that is until he meets SA Kally Voker, she is not only gorgeous but sets his blood on fire. His people believed there was someone out there that was the other half of them, their soul mates, and he’s met his. The more time spent together only re-enforces his belief, until they go to her parent’s house, then things go wrong for Gabe.

SA Kally Voker wishes she could let loose, not be so perfect all the time, but she keeps hearing her father’s voice telling her she has to be professional all the time. Meeting Gabe knocks her for a loop, she’d expected the black hair of an Indian, but his eyes were green and she falls for him, literally. He’s everything she needs and wants and once they catch the bomber maybe things can be just personal for them. But will it really happen for Kally or will she loose the man she’s come to love?

To say that the author has written a novel that will have readers glued to the pages is un-understatement. This book is one of love and how two people who are meant to be together fight for that right. When the bomber ties Kally to a bomb and Gabe is unwilling to leave her, this shows the depth of feelings they have for each other. Ms. Monet also gives the reader another story in this novel Stolen Courage. They are both worth reading.
