Kay Karen is a former Las Vegas showgirl, watching a mansion that is going up for auction. A winter storm hits the upper Michigan setting, knocking the power out. Kay Karen has always possessed a certain psychic ability. She could read most people’s thoughts.

After falling asleep right before the storm hit, Kay Karen wakes, hearing a noise downstairs. She heads downstairs to investigate. Downstairs, she finds an intruder. Not just any intruder, but a man that sparks the embers in her stomach and curls her toes. After hitting him on the head, she administers CPR to the intruder. The aid turns to a few kisses, which turns to smoldering passion.

Ilia Perepechenko has been in the United States for 11 years. He cares for his mother and his daughter, Anya. He has learned that the mansion is heading for auction and he decides to break in and rob the mansion. His reasoning will tear you up.

Kay Karen tries to read his mind, but gets nothing. They are trapped. He teases her with their obvious physical attraction. He leaves her wanting more. Starr leaves the reader anticipating and wanting more right along with her characters.

Starr has created well-developed characters who you bond with and cheer for. This is a very sensual read and though this is the first Evelyn Starr novel I have read, it will not be the last! 4 Angels.
