SUMMER PIRATE

Laura Stanek is a single mom and a romance author. On her own since her pregnancy she has no time for a man. Laura is very focused on supporting and caring for her precious daughter Feylen. Feylen has her mom enter a contest for a free pirate cruise. Laura had no idea she would win the contest. Now, she, Feylen, Laura’s best friend Lala are off to sail the high seas, with their very own band of pirates.

While Feylen is enjoying the children’s activities, Laura and Lala find some interesting activities of their own. Lala is a woman who is just looking for a good time, with no strings attached. But, then she meets Chad on the cruise. He wants more than a fling. Will Lala finally change her wild ways?

For Laura she finds her own treasure in pirate Aaron Kendrick, who turns out to be a teacher at her daughter’s school. Laura and Aaron share some good times on the cruise. Will Laura make time and room in her life for the pirate of her dreams, when she gets back home?

Rian Monaire has given us a wonderful tale of ocean romance. While reading this book, you will feel as though you are on The Love Boat. However, there is enough heat in this book to keep the boilers on the ship up and running for a very long time.

I really enjoyed the characters in this book. Especially Feylen, she is a smart and delightful little girl. I loved the way the author packs a lot into her 53-page book. I am looking forward to reading more of Ms. Monaire’s books and seeing where we will go next.
