All Our Yesterdays: Pompeii

Part four of this reincarnation serial finds Astrid becoming more involved both in her father's business and with Duncan. With her father set up in his fancy new rehab facility, courtesy of Duncan, Astrid has more time to spend on the mystery behind the recurring memory/dream episodes she keeps experiencing. During a gala at Duncan's home, Duncan himself puts a bracelet on her wrist causing yet another memory/dream spell.

Astrid becomes Estella, a young widow who married for safety and security and never became a wife. Then Marius, a Praetorian enters her life and the love between them is instant and intense. Alas Marius, the soldier, is not free to marry and the child produced by their love must be hidden, so Estella travels to Pompeii to await her lover. Surely this time fate will be kind?

This series has been both a pleasure and a pain. The pleasure deriving from the wonderful, colorful, believable glimpses into the past and the pain... from the waiting for each installment! Each trip into the past is a mini history lesson, well researched and masterfully detailed. The characters come to life and the reader cannot help but fall in love along with the ill-fated pair. Ms. Walters has done well with this series and has a fan here anxiously waiting for the next adventure to begin.
