Darkest Nyte

Lucinda is a wizard who has been lonely for a long time, even with her friends surrounding her. She’s been hoping to find a bond mate in her mentor, Rand, like most of her kind does. The chemistry just doesn’t seem to be there, and she’s almost completely given up on finding her partner in life. When she receives the magical call to mentor her own wizard, she eagerly responds. It’s supposed to be a baby, but when Lucinda finally finds her protégé, she’s got a lot more than she bargained for.

When Nyte arrives in the alleyway, he’s completely disorientated and has amnesia. He doesn’t know what his name is, or why he is there, but one thing he does know is that the woman that found him is his. As Lucinda teaches him to use his powers all over again, her mentor Rand enters the picture and seems to know Nyte. And what he knows of him isn’t good…

Darkest Nyte is a whole new world to explore that is fresh and exciting. The world that Nyte lands in is very different from what he came from, but his comfort level never seems to change. While Lucinda is his grounding force, I couldn’t help but like him for the strength he showed. Lucinda comes across as a bit dizzy at first, but as you get to know her you find out she is a strong, independent woman who won’t stand for being controlled, as Nyte and Rand find out the hard way. Darkest Nyte was fun to read and kept me captivated until I was done with the story. I didn’t think it was a dark fantasy, the characters and story line were engaging and Lucinda was the star. If you like adventure and strong characters, you’ll really enjoy Darkest Nyte, I know I did.
