The Greek’s Innocent Virgin
Sebastian Kouros is grief stricken over the death of his uncle and, even though he knows he’s being unfair, quietly places part of the blame on the daughter of his uncle’s wife. His wife, who died in the car crash with him, was a scheming, manipulative woman who brought nothing but heartache and misery to his uncle.
He would like to believe that her daughter, Rachel, is as guileless and innocent as she appears but experience has taught him otherwise.
Rachel Long knows that she should feel grief over her mother’s death but the emotion that is uppermost is relief. Her whole life she has lived in the shadow of her mother’s hedonistic lifestyle, she just wants to put it all behind her and get on with HER life. Unfortunately, the only man that she wants to be a part of that life is the nephew of the man who died with her mother.
Ms. Monroe delivers another fantastic story with characters who must overcome overwhelming differences in order to make a relationship plausible. I was very impressed with Rachel in this story. There is strength and determination in her character that I couldn’t help but admire. Though she lives under the stigma of her mother’s reputation and is in an almost hostile environment because of that reputation, she does not hesitate to do what she knows she needs to do in order to help set things right with the family. Lucy Monroe has penned another must read title.
