Grave Pleasures

Aisling, Ash, was hired to steal a crucifix. How hard could that be when she has a key? An alarm goes off and the police appear. When the van she steals ends up having two dead bodies in it, she figures that two thousand dollars might not be enough. When the bodies wake up, attack her and a vampire named Beau saves her, she knows that it isn’t enough. Ash finds that her life has taken a huge leap into the unknown. The dead have risen and walk the streets of Boston. It will take Ash and Beau to figure out why a specter from Beau’s past has come back to haunt him.

Grave Pleasures was a departure from most vampire stories. The mythology is slightly different and very imaginative, I don’t want to give away the difference, but I will say that it’s worth the wait. Aisling was a great tragic heroine who became stronger through adversity. Beau personifies a dark hero; he is tall, blonde, and handsome as well as a vampire. He was a great alpha male; strong and yet compassionate. They made a very good couple. I hope to read more about the Clan Merivion and their universe.
