Peacekeeper Temis Freya doesn’t think they need this mercenary’s help; however, her supervisor overrides her concerns. When Gren takes her “hostage” as the first stage of their mission, sparks fly. Now the hunt for the slavers is heated by the unexpected passion and emotion that flares between them. Will they be able to win the game being played out by their adversary, or will the women and their newfound relationship be a pawn in the slavers’ bid for power?

Winner Takes All is a refreshing, unusual story that delivers a sensual romance for readers to enjoy. The author has taken the normal romantic premise of two unlikely characters being thrown together by circumstance and delivered an original, imaginative story that this reader couldn’t put down. The passion between these two opposites does not follow the standard opposites attract clichés; instead Ms. Harte has used imagery and a mix of the unusual to make their intense chemistry memorable and moving. The mission they embark on moves the plot along while providing a backdrop for these two dedicated warriors to discover just how deeply they have come to care for one another. As the search for the kidnapped women comes to a head, the ensuing confrontation is filled with action and emotion. Hopefully this won’t be the last story we see from Ms. Harte about the peacekeepers.
