Silverdawn

In Julie D’Arcy’s, Silverdawn, a queen mourns the banishment of her daughter and a young lady grieves the brutal murder of her adopted parents.

Silverdawn Peterson loves her job at the museum. Studying and translating ancient texts is her utmost joy. Then one night while walking home she is attacked by a creature of legends and rescued by the knight of her visions. Desperate to keep her grip on reality, Silver attempts to convince herself that it was all a dream.

Faren of Malaan, Knight of Paladia, is sent by his king to retrieve the key and Silverdawn. First he must save her from an ancient foe before both his world and hers is destroyed. Persuading Silver that he and magick is real may be his hardest task, and he has yet to avert Iraj from obliterating the future.

Thomas Haversham grapples with the black hold Peter has over him. He loathes betraying Silver, but does not know what else to do. One fateful night, he enters Silver’s room and the outcome might determine the future.

Julie D’Arcy deftly tells the saga of unrequited passion, treachery, grief beyond measure and the healing power of love and trust. Silverdawn cleverly incorporates the Celtic lore of the goddess with modern archeology. The Otherworld exists beyond this dawning and only those of the goddess can cross over.

Silverdawn engaged me from the beginning until the surprising conclusion. I eagerly await Julie D’Arcy’s next tale of Rastehm and the goddess.
