Dangerous Games

Drake Trahern was the programmer of Wyvern’s Quest, the current obsession in computer games. The program protecting his computer had just notified him that someone had hacked into the Wyvern’s Quest program files. Although he’d stopped the hacker before he had time to do any damage, the bigger problem was who was this hacker and what did he want with those files? Drake identified the hacker as a teenage boy with an older sister who was his guardian. Was the sister involved? Drake had to be sure.

Melinda Palmer, shy research librarian, knew that her brother Ryan was in trouble for his hacking, and she had offered to pay restitution – but Drake Trahern was only willing to resolve the matter without pressing criminal charges if she came to his high tech “fortress” in the wilds of Idaho for a weekend, in-depth interview.

I really enjoy Ms. Teglia’s books, and this one is no exception. The book has a believable plot, with just enough twists and turns to keep the reader interested, but what I enjoy most about this author’s writing is her great skill at characterization and dialogue. Drake and Melinda behave like real people; their characters have that extra something that makes them fascinating, so that the reader is drawn into their world and empathizes with their thoughts and feelings. The many male/female love scenes are explicit and very sexy, and are woven into the story seamlessly. This book is a keeper as far as I’m concerned, and I recommend it highly.
