The Wolf Tamer

Teon is a hunter of wolves, but he is looking specifically for one particular wolf – the demon wolf who killed his father. Kali has come to enlist Teon’s help in finding and killing Nash, the werewolf who killed her parents. When Kali gets to know Teon, she almost cannot bring herself to ask him to hunt for the werewolf, for Teon is a man she could fall in love with. But the need to find and kill Nash is too urgent for personal considerations, because Kali has only until the full moon to do it – or her secret will be revealed.

The plot of this short story is quite simple – two people get together to hunt a werewolf. What makes it interesting are the characters of Teon and Kali. The author has drawn two very appealing and complex characters. Teon is a great hunter (although the demon wolf continues to elude him) as well as being an all ‘round nice guy and great lover. Kali is a lovely young woman who has hidden depths of strength and skills, and a major secret. The two work together well, and gradually find themselves falling in love. The story has two sensual – and a bit explicit -- sex scenes between a man and woman who are falling in love. I quite enjoyed the story, and recommend it as a good, quick read.
