Cupid’s Enchantment

Far from being an adorable matchmaker, Cupid is intent on causing chaos in the Lycaon court. He sets out to find the ugliest woman possible, dousing her in pheromones and causing the lycans to fight to the death over her. Little does he know that what he perceives ugly, the rest of the world deems beautiful.

Lady Rhiannon of Weilshire is a true beauty, one who often overshadows her ugly elder sister causing suitors to pursue her instead. While this may not seem like a problem to most, Rhiannon’s sister is the heir and must marry a proper nobleman. Thus, Lady Rhiannon is banished to a tower so she no longer distracts the suitors. When she starts hearing voices, she’s convinced her confinement has driven her mad. Until Cupid shows himself and her whole world goes black.

Lord Ilar, Commander of the Lycan Guard, is startled when his men start chasing a female, nearly tearing each other apart in the process. He saves the helpless mortal, knowing full well he won’t be able to keep his men at bay for long. Ilar must find out how this woman came to be in his land and what sort of magic surrounds her before it’s too late. His only other option lies in claiming Rhiannon for his own. Is that a step he is willing to take?

Cupid’s Enchantment proved very entertaining with the twist on Cupid’s role in the love department. I often found myself laughing out loud at his antics. The love scenes between Rhiannon and Ilar set these pages on fire, even when nothing more than kissing transpired. Ms. Pillow has a penchant for writing steamy episodes that will keep the reader coming back for more. Frequent head-hopping did make the story somewhat hard to follow at times, but overall, it was a very light and enjoyable read.
