Unicorn Quest

Ry Trall, r’uban or the Prince of the Ror q’Trall, finds himself in quite a predicament. In order for his clan to remain the First Among Clans, they must win the horse race. Unfortunately, their prized stallion has been poisoned. Now Ry finds himself trying to capture a unicorn as a replacement. He didn’t count on a woman beating him to it.

Sahra has used her psychic ability to tame the unicorn in hopes that together, they may stop the bloodshed and unite the clans into one. She is A’tril, outcast, by her clan for her refusal of an arranged marriage. When Ry arrives trying to stake his claim on the unicorn, she immediately recognizes him from The Clan of Blood and the battle begins.

But this battle turns into something neither Ry nor Sahra counted on. They are true mates, destined to be together despite which clan they hail from. In a heated moment, Ry brands Sahra, making her his wife and a member of the clan she loathes. Will Sahra submit to the ways of the Ror q’Trall or will she continue to seek a uniting of the clans?

Unicorn Quest centered around one of my favorite mythical creatures so it was very easy to get lost in the pages of this book. Bring in the complexity of warring clans and two people cemented in their beliefs and you have one wonderful story. Sahra wishes to unite the clans while Ry fights to keep his clan above all others. Both must learn to yield a little to achieve their dreams. This book really pulled at my heartstrings, and I believe there is a deeper underlying message that every reader will walk away with long after reading ‘the end’. I look forward to reading more from both Ms. Fisher and Ms. Hart.
