For Camelot’s Honor

In the land of Point Cymryd a meal takes place that would change the lives of those living there forever. A decision had to be made as to whether Lady Adara and her people should follow Urien the bull, a neighboring chieftain, or Arthur of Camelot. It is at this meeting that Lady Adara would inadvertently insult Urien; who would then seek his revenge.

Shortly after this fateful evening Lady Adara’s daughter, Lady Elen, left her home when the people from the other side of the bridge, a land of enchantment, came in need of a midwife. When she returned home the carnage and destruction done to her family by Urien drives Elen to vow vengeance. It is during her attempt to seek retribution that she comes face to face with Morgaine. Morgaine curse Elen with a horrendous act that leaves Elen to face many trials and has her life forever tied to a hawk.

Sir Geraint, nephew to King Arthur, cannot explain his need to protect Lady Elen. When he finds she is in need of rescuing, he volunteers to go for her. It is on this undertaking that both Elen and Geraint will come to a world of unknown magic, horrors and even secrets well hidden within walls and words. Can the two together overcome the evil Morgaine and her many friends who wish to make them fail on their journey of retribution?

Sarah Zettel’s Camelot series is not one any reader of medieval, fantasy or Arthurian genres will want to miss. Her characters are exceptionally well written and each, whether secondary or main, adds something special to this magical tale. Miss Zettel’s way with words will draw readers into this land filled with sorcery and secrets and will captivate them throughout the whole book.

For Camelot’s Honor is the second book in the series but can stand alone easily. Sir Geraint and Lady Elen are two people who are to be admired for their bravery in the face of unknown worlds and the supernatural. This story is definitely one this reviewer would recommend to any who love to be drawn into another world and come a way from it with a feeling of amazement.
