Zylott Wars 1: Revenge

Nyx has long wanted revenge on the people that he believes are to blame for his wife and child dying a brutal death. When Minuette crosses his path, he believes that he has found the perfect way to get his revenge. He comes up with a plan that he’s sure will give him his revenge and make him a happier man by making Minuette give him what her people took away, a child. To that end, he needs to seduce her after she heals and put his plans in motion, all without her knowing why. What he doesn’t know is that Minuette is in training, and she has a special spell that keeps her from consummating any relationship.

Minuette has collapsed after opening a gate to another dimension for the last time. When she awakens, a strange man is trying to convince her that she is in a dream. She believes him at first, but soon she realizes that it isn’t just a dream, and Nyx is trying to seduce her for reasons that she doesn’t quite understand. Despite Nyx’s treachery, she finds herself undeniably attracted…

Nyx is a dark character that I wasn’t really sure I could like at the beginning of the story. He is so focused on his revenge that he can’t seem to see beyond that and to what is going on around him. I warmed up to him in the end; he’s a strong man that was consumed with anger at the way his family was killed. I liked Minuette from the beginning; she was an innocent bystander that was trapped in a situation that was out of her control. She ends up being very strong and self assured, and even more likeable in my eyes. The sparks really fly in this hot story, and I would definitely recommend giving it a try.
