Jamie

For the past decade Jamie Creed has been hiding; from his past, his memories, and from himself. One woman is about to change all of that.

When Jamie finds the woman in the woods she is exhausted, drenched and knows his name. Who is this mysterious woman who can block her thoughts from him so completely? He has no idea who she is, but she claims to know him from a time in his life that he has spent the last ten years trying to forget. She knows things about him that no one else knows and she makes him feel things that no one has ever made him feel. She wants him to care for her and to let her into his heart, but she refuses to let him into her head. She has secrets and Jamie learned a long time ago that it’s dangerous to trust or to care for people.

Ten years ago Faith Owen helped Jamie in the only way she could and she has spent every one of those years hoping that it was enough, that he was safe.
Faith doesn’t know all of the details as to why she had to seek him out now, but she does know that he is in danger; her daughter wouldn’t make up something like that. She also knows that Jamie MUST come to understand that caring for people doesn’t make him weak and it doesn’t lessen his ability to help them. With the help of his friends, she just might be able to accomplish this task but will she be able to do it in time? If she succeeds in that task, will Jamie forgive her when he discovers the part that she played in his past and the secret that will affect his future?

Just like the front of the book says, “every woman’s been waiting for Jamie”. From the minute that he made his mysterious appearance in the middle of the road in Say No to Joe?, readers everywhere have been beseeching, bribing and begging for his story. I must say that it was worth the wait. I’m not sure which was more amusing, quiet Jamie adjusting to his “chatterbox” guest or the reactions of the rest of the characters to the “new” Jamie. It’s always wonderful to read the stories that take place in Visitation; it’s like being reunited with family.

Jamie is a book to be savored and then placed lovingly on the keeper shelf to go back and re-read again and again. Along with finally answering the burning questions about Jamie, it contains surprises for everyone. Just like the men of Visitation, it’s unpredictable, sexy as all get out and impossible to ignore. I highly suggest putting the kids to bed early, send the hubby off with his buddies, fix a big snack and spend the night with Jamie. It will be a night you’ll never forget, just like you’ll never forget Jamie.
