Once upon a time, Evelyn Gray and Logan Crane were best friends and perhaps something more, at least on Evie’s side. But then, after six months of living with her family, Logan disappears for no apparent reason. Evie has never gotten over Logan’s betrayal so when she sees him back in River Bend, she’s not inclined to stop for a friendly how have you been chat. But Logan came back for a reason and that reason is Evie. He’s finally ready to claim his woman and when his younger brother Steven informs him that the Grays are in trouble, Logan heads back to River Bend with no regrets.

Much to his bewilderment, Evie’s really and truly mad at him. He doesn’t know how to break through her anger, but he also knows he has to protect her and her parents, the three people who made a difference in his teenage life. Logan is thrilled with the woman Evie has become, and much to her reluctance, Evie still craves Logan’s kisses. But she’s afraid to open her heart to him for fear that he will leave her behind yet again. Added to that is the danger that is facing Evie’s family by Grossman Corp, the company that wants her family’s land. Will true love win out this time or are Evie and Logan destined to be apart forever?

Redemption: Logan’s Temptation is the first in a new series by Liz Andrews and Lena Matthews and wow, what a story! The introduction to the town of River Bend and its many eclectic characters is just fabulous to read, and the main storyline of Logan and Evie is truly a pleasure. Finely crafted and woven with intense emotions, these authors set up a burgeoning romance against the threat of an unknown assailant. Who is Grossman Corp and why do they want land in River Bend? And what about Logan’s mother and stepfather, how will his homecoming affect the family he left behind? This story is an evocative and emotional look at small town life and at the regrets and memories that are bound to be brought up when coming home again for the first time in a long time. Logan and Evie’s story is spellbinding and truly gripping. The reader will truly come to care for their happiness after finishing up Redemption: Logan’s Temptation. This reviewer cannot wait for the other stories in this series. If they live up to this tale, this will surely be an unforgettable series.
