The Hunters: Rafe and Sheila

The Hunters: Rafe and Sheila reintroduces us to the world of Hunters, witches, and shifters. You do not need to read the rest of the series, but it does help.

Rafe did not want to care for another person after he let his heart shrivel. Having been betrayed by someone he thought he loved, he refused to be hurt again. He told Sheila that he could never be what she wanted, but she didn’t listen.

Sheila wanted to be more than a sex toy. Rafe wouldn’t acknowledge her unless she was naked and that wasn’t enough for her. When she finally told him to get out, a series of events were put in play that would endanger them and others. An evil vampire was out and stalking the streets of Memphis. It is up to Rafe as a newly bonded Master to take care of him.

The Hunters: Rafe and Sheila by Shiloh Walker is yet another fabulous read. I am so impressed by the way she drops you into this world and keeps you there. The images she paints are so vivid that you know that these people exist and you expect to run into them around town. Rafe is the quintessential bad boy; you love to see him tamed, but not too tame. Sheila is just the woman to shave some of those rough edges off. This is a great book and I am so happy that Ms. Walker is continuing the series. I don’t know if I’ll ever get enough of The Hunters.
