Widow Cecilia Warden is shocked one snowy night to find a man on her bedroom terrace preparing to kill himself. While trying to talk him out of jumping, she finds out the man is none other than Julian Blake, Duke of Lyndon. Rumor has it that Julian went mad after his beloved wife passed away.

Julian realizes a few days of Cecilia won’t be enough, and asks her to be his mistress. Cecilia wants nothing more than to be with Julian, however, she spent her entire marriage knowing her husband loved another and will never go back to being a consolation prize. Can Julian overcome his guilt and grief and make Cecilia his forever? Will he be able to convince Cecilia that she won't be just a substitute for his dead wife?

I cannot rave enough about Undeniable! I enjoyed every second of this sexy, classy story. Jess Michaels has written the ultimate combination of romance and erotica. Though it's only a novella, both Cecilia and Julian are fully realized characters. The reader knows enough about their history to really understand them. Lord Julian is one hot Duke. When he takes Cecilia into ecstasy (and vice-versa) I was caught right up in it. I appreciated the fact that even though Cecilia is lonely and feels so much for Julian, she remains strong about not being second best. Cecilia's protective house staff are charming secondary characters as well.

Undeniable is one of the first releases of the new Erotique publishing line. At $3.00, it's a steal. If their future releases are as good as the first two, Erotique will definitely be getting my business!
