Whispered Secrets

Kate Harker’s life is in turmoil. Her boyfriend, Jim has decided to marry her but he is surprised when she turns him down. In retaliation, he spreads ugly rumors that she slept around her office. Unfortunately, people believe him and she almost loses her job. To get away from the office, she decides to take a vacation to visit her friend in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota and meets Frank.

Kate and Frank share a sizzling chemistry from the get go! Frank is a true believer of the “no strings” relationship but Kate has him thinking “commitment”. These two share highly erotic encounters as they give in to their desires. Their initial agreement of “no strings” changes into a relationship “with strings” as they fall in love. It was interesting to watch these two people grow within the relationship. Frank is an unusual man. He allows another woman to name him as the father of her child even though he isn’t. He is a gentleman at heart.

Kate and Frank’s relationship is the primary focus of the story. However, Jim makes a reappearance and easily earns himself the title of “villain”. There are other story enhancing secondary characters including Sara and Joyce. Joyce comes across as a pathetic woman who is trying to hang on to a man who doesn’t love her and she uses her child to do it. Sara is the sounding board as she can be relied on to give sound advice. These characters add color to the story and are not “fillers”.

Whispered Secrets is a fascinating story with strong characterizations and a storyline that will draw the reader in. The story moves at a brisk pace. The sexual action is plentiful and intense. Whispered Secrets will fulfill all that a reader of romantica could wish for!
