The Way He Makes Me Feel
It all started with a bet. Duncan Hillston was always bragging about his sexual conquests and his bona fide “player” status. His friends, sick of Duncan’s talk, tell him to put up or shut up, and so he bets them he can get any woman to fall in love with him and even lets them choose the woman. Duncan’s confidence is unshakable, even if the woman they pick is a girl who was none too fond of him when they were in high school.
Claire Scott is very surprised to see Duncan Hillston approach her that night in the club. Back in high school, she had a monster crush on him, though he didn’t know she was alive. Things have changed and Claire isn’t that brainy 11 year-old girl anymore but all WOMAN. What began as a bet quickly grows into full-fledged love, but if the truth ever came out about the bet, it could destroy Duncan and Claire’s new found happiness.
I thoroughly enjoyed The Way He Makes Me Feel. The hero and heroine were both very likeable characters. Duncan, despite his initial bone-headedness, had a heart of gold. I felt myself drawn to the heroine who made it her life’s work to find a treatment and possibly a cure for ovarian cancer. I was cheering these characters on as they unexpectedly stumbled on the love of a lifetime.
Duncan’s seduction of Claire was very slow and methodical, yet totally erotic. Sparks nearly flew off the pages once they finally consumed their relationship and it was well worth the wait.
Tamara Sneed’s The Way He Makes Me Feel is a great book with an easy to follow plot and involving characters that will touch your heart. I was delighted to spend time in a world of Ms. Sneed’s creation and I hope to read more from this very talented author.
