Night to Remember

Charlotte Brown, nicknamed Charlie, thought her life couldn't get any better until a tragic accident killed her husband and threw her into a year of deep depression. On the anniversary of her husband's death she decides to do something out of character. Charlie drowns her sorrows at a hotel bar. Little did she know this would lead to meeting Jake Fox.

Handsomely hot Jake Fox spots Charlie in the hotel bar. He cannot resist her beautiful ebony skin and full lips. He pays for her tab. She is not impressed and tells the bartender to thank him and leaves the bar. Charlie, feeling unable to drive, decides to get a room. There are no rooms available. Jake offers to share his room. Charlie declines Jake's offer at first. Could she believe the sincerity of the ice blue eyes and sexy deep voice that he wasn't a sex fiend? What other choice did she have? She couldn't bring herself to call her parents or friends to pick her up. Against better judgment she shares his room and before the night is through his bed.

Charlie and Jake find themselves drawn to each other against all common reason. It was a night of burning passion like they've never experienced with any other person, not even Charlie's dead husband. Charlie can't believe how good it feels to be with Jake. But in the morning she regrets her actions and quickly leaves the hotel while he is showering. Jake is astounded by his overwhelming feelings for Charlie. It wasn't just one lustful night of sex. This was different. Jack attempts to find Charlie, but to no avail. He goes back to his job, but thoughts of her haunt his mind for a full three years. He can't shake his feelings for his ebony beauty. Fortunately, fate intervenes and they are thrown together.

It's not going to be easy though, Charlie has a secret. A secret she doesn't want Jake to know about. A secret she will do anything to protect.

Night to Remember is an awesomely intertwined story. Eve Vaughn is a detailed story artist. The connection of the storyline from beginning to end will surely please the reader. Night to Remember includes everything needed in a satisfying novel: tragedy, grief, romance, sex, love, and a happy conclusion. Eve Vaughn knows how to keep the story paced and her timing is amazing. This was one of the best novels I've read in a long time. I look forward to reading more of her in the future.
