~ Quirky Question of the Month ~
Why isn't there mouse-flavored cat food?
Dogs are in charge of the cat-food companies. ~
Lucinda Betts
Because they wanted to offer a change of diet to cats. I mean, they're SUPPOSED to be getting mice on their own. Cat food is just as a supplement. ~
Jade Lee
What? My cats eat a mouse? Heaven forbid... ~
Karen Kay
LOL because we silly humans wouldn't buy it. The cats would LOVE it but no owner would buy it for them. We'd feel too bad for Mickey. ~
Mechele Armstrong
Eeewwwwww! ~
Maggie Nash
The human testers wouldn't eat it ~
Michelle M. Pillow
The Support-your-Rodent lobby succeeded in passing the Protect-Mickey bill through the House and Senate. If cats ate pizza like any self respecting dog, it would have saved a lot of tax dollars. ~
Sahara Kelly
The Mickey Mouse Mafia is in power and keeps cats from having their yummy mouse flavored food. The M3 surrounds you, just look around. Hats, shirts, shoes, every conceivable thing has his insignia on it. He's everywhere. Don't be fooled. (This message brought to you by CATS, which only stands for cats, as it's all about them.) ~
Jenna Leigh
Hey, good one. I think I will suggest that to the cat food companies. ~
Savannah Black
Mouse is way too pedestrian for our sophisticated animals. So, so last year. ~
Kimber Chin
Oh, that's another simple one. Who's gonna catch the mice to extract the flavor to put in the cat food? I'm not going near a mouse.... ~
Allison Knight
Because it would satisfy cats' mousy appetites and keep them from hunting those nasty critters down for us. ~
Titania Ladley
It would render the cat useless for chasin' mice. And heck, the poor cat would no longer have snackies at the Bar 'n'. (That there be countrified shorthand for Bar Inn or for the common folk, Barn ~
Ciara Gold
Because, like some men, cats enjoy the taste of the chase more than the actual meal. ~
Chris Marie Green
Because the taste testers for the company refuse to try a mouse to find out what it tastes like. ~
Annette Blair

Mikal's Wrath will soon join the other Worlds Apart series. What can readers expect and can you share one tidbit just to keep our readers on the edge until they're able to read it for themselves?
Sure, I'd love to share a little bit of it. Please keep in mind it hasn't gone through the editing process yet, though. Also,
Mikel's Wrath is a little different than the others in the series. The first two books centered on the Lionese (Lion Shifters). In this book, one of their allies, Mikel Logann, a Manruvian Merman and Maryann Wilson, a Human woman raised among the Lionese, take center stage.
Here's a small snippet of
Mikel's Wrath:
Mari, the Mother Goddess of the Sea, contemplated the many paths of the future spread out before her. So many different paths. So many different futures. One mistake, one wrong choice and disaster awaited the Manruvians, among others. Hidden from all but her most faithful priestesses, she stared into the Crystal Lake of Ikaria-the lake of foretelling.
The time had come for change. Some would die, fated to pass over to a higher plain. Some would battle with all their heart and succeed. Some would not. War was coming to the peaceful Manruvians. How she wanted to step in, to stop events before they even began. But even a goddess must follow certain rules-and thwarting the three sisters of fate was not one of them.
If the Manruvian Merfolk were to survive, they'd have to use all their resources, all their allies. Many challenges were coming, many changes, and only the strong of heart and pure of soul had a chance at survival.
The time had come for her to whisper in some ears, to plant some ideas, even if it did bend the rules a wee bit. She had to be careful of what she said, or she might do more harm than good, creating the disaster she wanted to avoid.
With that firmly in mind, Mari closed her eyes, and thought of whom she'd speak to first. Her lips tilted into a smile. Yes, Brantiff Shi'Lan, King of the Chantrean Lionese would be the best person to speak to first. His imprisonment by his own daughter, The Black Rose, would make him sympathetic to what was coming. His council to his sons and to Mikel Logann would be invaluable in the battles to come.
Visualizing the Chantrean Palace, Mari let her powers loose. They coalesced around her body, wrapping her in a ball of brilliant white light. With just a wish, Mari found herself on Chantrea. Now to change into the persona the Chantreans knew her as, Alana, the Mother Goddess of Chantrea, and find her quarry. Time was growing short with much still to accomplish.
Considering the words "Sex & Me" are in most of your titles, how many more variations do you think you can come up with?
LOL… Actually, there are only two more left.
Sex Me Fast and
Sex Me At Last. I think Tianna and I actually came up with 24 titles originally on a lark and decided to make a series around the titles
On your website you mentioned the need for a miracle concerning the release of your book Sex Me Fast. Have you been able to complete the editing process and when can readers expect this latest story in the Children of the Triads series?
We're thinking it may be close, but hopefully by the time this Newsletter releases it will be out. I've had serious health issues in the last two months that have kept me away from the computer and Tianna has had an out of country visitor for the last couple of weeks, not to mention her day job.
With a monthly serial like the
Triad and
Children of the Triad series, there is always that worry that something will come up and we'll be delayed in getting one of the installments out. It's only happened once so far, and we're doing our best to see it doesn't happen this month. If by chance it isn't release March 15th, then expect it April 15th. That's our regular slot in the monthly schedule for this series, so it would be delayed a month if we miss our regular release date.
Your current playlist has a few songs from Mermaid's Kiss, who are they and why do they hold such a strong presence on your tunes listing.
LOL… Actually, I found them by accident. I was doing a search for titles with the word "Mermaid" in it for inspiration for
Mikel's Wrath. They are a UK Folk/ Rock band and I've enjoyed listening to them. It totally surprised me when one of their band members, Jamie, responded to my Thursday Thirteen where I had my playlist listed.
Here's is their website address if you'd like to learn more:

Narian Rebirth: Mia's Discovery joined your published works during the month of March. In a world of books where vampires are plentiful how does Mia Discovery set itself apart?
Great Question.
Narian Rebirth: Mia's Discovery is the second book in this series, of what we think will be six titles all together. (If they're all published:) All these titles are ménage (M/F/M). But this title has our version of where the myths surrounding the Lost Continent of Atlantis come from and our Narian Vampyres are at the center of it.
