What do people in China call their good plates?

    Djibouti ~ NeNe

I believe the Chinese call their fine plates...eatsum for short, formal name is guesteatsumfood. ~ Hayley

Well, since in China red is the color of happiness and good fortune (at least I think!)…how about: Red China ~ Devon

Likely with the same label my Irish mom applies 'not-for-use' as in 'touch-and-face-certain-death.' I believe momspeak is universal! ~ Kimber

Bowls, they don't use plates. ~ Rachel C.

    Paper....? lol ~ CJ

Their special occasion plates? ~ Tammy

~ Reader Question & Answers from August ~

What's the best Halloween costume you have ever worn or seen?

I would have to say that the best costume i've seen in a while was my husband and his best friend, J, dressing up as Jay and Silent Bob. Hilarious to me because my husband looks like Silent Bob lol. ~ Hayley M.

When I was younger I made up a werewolf costume and won 1st prize against a lot of other kids. I was so shy then, so to have to walk in front of many people was hard, but I won and that made me less scared. :) ~ Dina

Congratulations to the winners who have won a copy of Teddi Turns On by Sloane Taylor!

The Scarlet Spy is the last book in your Spy trilogy. Will we be seeing more of Mrs. Merlin's Academy for Select Young Ladies in the future?

Well, never say never! Actually, some of the characters from the Spy trilogy are going to appear in my new series. Most will have minor roles, but Marco, the sexy Italian fencing master, will find himself drawn into the action . . . but that is a whole other story, so you will just have to look for the new books!

Since you wrote The Spy Wore Silk envisioning a series did you do anything special to set up the future books?

From the start, I knew the stories would feature three roommates at the Academy who are close as sisters. So while each woman has her own book, I made sure to introduce all of them in The Spy Wore Silk, so readers got to know them and could forward to their stories. As for future tales, at some point I may introduce a new class of Merlins. But first I have to finish a whole new series!

What was the hardest part of writing The Scarlet Spy?

Saying goodbye to the series. The three heroines and heroes really became good friends . . . it's always a little sad to see your characters waltz out of your life. However, I always get excited about making new "friends" and new stories, so there's always a happy ending.

Your life has been chosen for a new reality series. What name do you think best suits this new show?

Crash test Dummy! If you want to be a writer, you have to be willing to bang into a lot of walls, fall on your backside and still be willing to get up and go at it again, despite the bumps and bruises.

If you were a dessert, which one would best describe you?

Molten chocolate cake! I can be very firm on the outside when I want to be, but at heart, I'm pretty much a softie.

Andrea will be giving away a copy of The Scarlet Spy. To enter send your name and mailing address to: farnews@fallenangelreviews.com

Can you tell us a little about your newest release Mastering Mirage?

Mastering Mirage is the story of a woman who is searching for home. She believes it can be found by finding her missing sister. But this assumption takes her and her little sis to a planet where they are thrown out of their element and into a race to outrun the men who have chosen them as mates. And yes this is a HOT read. Here's the blurb:

Soundwave had always assumed that she was an only child, but she was wrong. Her two sisters have found out about her existence and they are searching the galaxy to find her.

Mirage has spent her entire life hiding behind her power to create illusions. Shielding both her and her sister from the world and her heart from pain. But when their search for Soundwave casts them as unwilling participants in a mating ritual for a planet full of manticores, illusions will do them little good. Now, they aren't searching for a lost sister, they're fighting for their freedom.

Rynund chose his mate from the scantily-clad space-order mates not for her beauty but for her tight-lipped defiance. He was sure she would lead him on a merry chase. What he didn't expect was for her to steal a spaceship and lead him off-world. The hunt is on. Too bad for her, hunting is what a manticore does best!

Mastering Mirage is the third book in the Soundwave series. Do you have the series mapped out already or will it be a continuing series?

The Super Sex series will be on going but the Soundwave branch of it will end in December 2008 with Making Mischief. I enjoy writing men and women who have superpowers. Haven't you always wanted to be a Superhero….or Villain? I strive to blur the lines between the two and I have plenty of stories lined up to entertain readers.

If you could have any kind of animal for a pet, what would it be?

I would want an albino tiger cub. I think these affectionate cats would be great to have around. I would just have to de-claw and de-tooth her before she got too big.

Instead of leaves (or money), what do you wish would grow on trees?

Hmmm. That's a toughie. I would have to say peace. A small piece of candy or fruit that granted the eater a moment of inner peace. No running around to complete task, no mind racing a million miles a minute. Just a moment of silent peace so they could say ….'Ahhhhhhhh'.

Well, that and sexy men who could fix up all my outdoor/home related projects….what? A girl can dream can't she?

What's one thing you could do every day (except for writing or reading) without getting bored of it?

Inspiring. I strive to inspire everyone in my life. From telling my son that he can play basketball if he practices, to telling my writer buddies how good they are, to helping my husband understand he is a better man for everything he does and doesn't do. I don't know what it is about lifting up someone else that lifts my own spirits but what can I say…I'm a giver.

And…uhm…. I could eat chocolate all day, every day.
