Niki Akitoye had to be found, that's what Grimm was told. He had to find her before the Daemons and he'd need Tryton's help to do it. Neither of them knows what makes Niki different until they meet her. When Tryton sees her for the first time, he knows she is his woman, he has to have her. She has power, so much that she is able to kill a Daemon without the aid of Tryton and the others. Taking her to his home he finds out that Niki has a daughter and had been on her way to get Jada when the Daemons grabbed Niki off the airplane. Knowing he has to keep Niki safe, he sends Grimm and Emily to bring Jada to his house. Tryton knows he must tell the others the secret he has been holding back, but first Niki must tell them her story.

Niki uses her power to heal others. She knows once she is no longer needed, the people that accept her now will ostracize and hound her until she is forced to move again. She is so tired of moving, never having a home, family or friends. At those times, she really hates the woman who has done this to her. However, her power may once again be of use as things begin happening that make her wonder if she's dreaming. A man who is sexier than any she's known before, people appearing in thin air, and things they call Daemons are after her. Could she be losing her mind, can she help them fight the Daemons, and the biggest question of all, can she get Tryton to admit he loves her?

Ms. King's book is fascinating, thrilling and she makes a world that I'd love to live in. Her characters are sexy, loving and dangerous. The reader gets so involved that this 124 page story feels too short, you want it to go on forever. Niki and Tryton are so hot that you can feel the heat between them leaping off the page. The descriptions of how Tryton can manipulate water are done so realistically that readers will have no problem visualizing his power. With Niki feeling so much love towards Tryton, you just know she will fight for her man till the end. Ms. King has written another book that not only her faithful followers will grab, but also new readers who want a book that takes them to a paranormal world that they are bound to love.
