Wolf Dance

Laura Ellison had to go to Beaver Creek, Montana to find out what had happened to Dan Mitchell and why no one would come work for the Duccini Company. She knows that the Sungmanitu could very well contest the legality of the contract they had with them now that Dan was missing. Her grandfather has warned her away from the Sungmanitu believing they are dangerous. After arriving at Beaver Creek, things start happening. Other workers besides Dan have disappeared. She finds Dan's briefcase and is told by Sheriff Moss that it was most likely a bear that tore it up. Laura meets Justin, who she is told is nothing but trouble, and just being near him sends an electrical jolt throughout her body, and she can't seem to get him off her mind or out of her dreams. When she sees a jaguar attack a miner and a wolf attack the jaguar, she knows something is definitely going on in Beaver Creek, Montana and that Justin might just be a part of it. When she hears of Tasha's betrayal of the Sungmanitu with Dark Claw, Laura knows she has to leave before she and her unborn son are taken again.

Justin Grey Wolf knows he should leave Laura alone, but she's the only one who has called to him on such a deep level. He has been following her in his dreams for years and he can't stay away. His people expect him to marry one of their own and if he ever told Laura the truth about himself, he'd see the love in her eyes turn to hate and disgust. But she needed him and he needed her. Through the trouble with Sheriff Moss trying to take her away to the others, then the others taking her away to marry their leader Dark Claw, Justin comes to her rescue. Even after he announces his impending marriage to Tasha, he can't stay away from Laura or stop loving her. Can he save them this time or will he be too late and lose his love for all time?

Ms. Kennedy has written a story that has captured the imagination with not only the wolf shapeshifter but of the jaguar also. This is a story of good and evil and how two people fight for what is right for them. The author's description of both worlds is stunning and in such detail that it is believable. These characters jump out of the page at you. I love the way that the Native American beliefs are an intrinsic part of the story. All the characters interact with such ease that it is seamless from one scene to the next. Ms. Kennedy has written a story that will haunt you for a long time to come. 5 Angels
