The Dark Lord: <title>Soul Searches

Mogda loved his wife and couldn’t keep his hands off her. He visited her every day, but more and more she didn’t seem to want to have anything to do with him. He’d locked her up and let her have no visitors, for fear that someone would steal her or she would run away.

Fayley is desperate for a child to help her with her lonely life, and has decided to get the aid of a seer to make sure that she had one. She has a dream lover that makes her feel things she could never feel in her husband’s arms, and in some ways that has made her even lonelier than before. When the seer comes, she casts a spell to ask the fates for a child. She gets her wish, but ends up dying in childbirth and her soul moves on to the daughter she bore.

The Dark Lord has been searching for his long lost love for centuries, but the fates keep them apart. Just as he found her last time, his love Fayly died in childbirth, and he could hardly bear the pain of losing her again. He’s desperate to find her this time, because this is the 1,000 year mark, and if he doesn’t break the curse, they will remain apart forever.

The Dark Lord: Soul Searches is told like a fairy tale, with the author telling you everything that is going on. The Dark Lord is evil incarnate, but somehow when his lost love comes to him, he turns into a gentle person. I was a little confused as to what was going on at first. I thought it was going to be about Fayley, and while it was, it was also about her daughter. An interesting read, and if you are looking for something that’s a little different style, this story might be for you.
