A Little Harmless <br>Sex

Melissa Schroeder has written another superb story! A Little Harmless Sex focuses on Maxwell Chandler and Anna Dewinter who had been friends their entire life. As they grew older though, both began to see each other in a different light. When Max saw Anna at eighteen, his first thought was that he wanted to make love to her. Now at the age of twenty-seven, Anna is more appealing than ever.

After his fiancée dumps Max, he comes to Anna’s coffee shop for some friendly consoling. She invites him to her house for some margaritas and enchiladas, but as the evening progresses, Max and Anna get steadily drunker and steadily more interested in each other. Though they have tried to fight it for years, they finally make love that night, something neither regrets in the morning. Anna is a bit nervous at the prospect of a fling with Max, but all Max can think about is how right it felt to hold Anna all night long. He wants her for so much more than a fling, but Anna is gun shy and he knows he’s going to have to coax her into a relationship, especially given her past dating history.

Max is doing everything he can to prove to Anna that they are a real couple. He wants to be seen with her in public, he wants to help her with her business, and more than anything he wants to get permanent with her…as in marriage. When his ex-fiancée comes back into the picture though, will Max and Anna’s relationship be able to survive or will Anna’s fear about losing Max drive her to push him away for good?

A Little Harmless Sex proves that sometimes, as in the case of Anna and Max, best friends truly do make the best lovers. Though they are both leery about getting involved, once they make love, both realize how very right it feels to be with the other. Max is anxious to solidify the relationship while Anna’s anxiety about the end of their fling causes some miscommunication which Ms. Schroeder does an excellent job of clearing up. This book was intensely erotic but also very romantic. I enjoyed watching Anna and Max’s relationship progress from best friends to true soul mates. This book will have you gripped from start to finish, which is why A Little Harmless Sex is a FAR Recommended Read.
