Private Games features three stories that each revolve around a board game known as Private Games. This game intrigues and challenges the heroines in the stories to make their deepest desires come true.

Playing for Keeps is the story of Maddy Beaudet and Jace Michael. Maddy meets Jace at a bar when she has to collect the name and phone number of the best-looking man in the bar. When she finds out she is an employee of Jace’s company, she quickly leaves the bar and Jace tries to put the beautiful and tempting Maddy out of his head, but when he sees her at another bar a week later, he can’t resist temptation and brings Maddy back to his place for the start of a no-strings affair. Burned badly in the past, Jace doesn’t want to fall in love again, but the more time he spends with Maddy, the more he wants to spend forever with her. Will he manage to put his past behind him or will be blow his chance with Maddy for good?

Master, May I?: Britt Olsen had sold her previous home to Andre Cruz-Romero. She doesn’t expect to see him again, but when he drops by to give her a birthday present that was mistakenly delivered to his home, she feels that pull of attraction that she felt the first time they met. She opens her present to discover a new game called Private Games. Her first challenge is to go to a BDSM themed club and get the name and number of a Dom. Britt is poleaxed to say the least. She is even more shocked when the first person she meets at the club is Andre! As they explore each other and their new desires, both Britt and Andre are in for some surprises. This story is heavy on the BDSM theme, though this reviewer thought it was very tastefully and erotically done.

A Game of Risk: Olivia Blake never expects to get knocked out during a fight at the Rusty Nail. When she comes to, it is to the handsome sight of her sister’s brother-in-law, EMT Ty Wilcox, who Olivia has secretly yearned to get to know better for a long time. Ty has always played it safe. He’s seen a lot of stupid stuff done in the name of fun and he knows the only way to live is by the rules, but Olivia tempts him to throw caution to the wind and take a chance on the attraction between them. He finally realizes he doesn’t want to throw this chance away, but has Olivia decided he’s not worth the risk?

Tawny Taylor’s Private Games is a great collection of erotic stories. Using the idea of a simple game, Taylor creates three very sexy and romantic stories. The love scenes are scorching, but Taylor does not skimp on the romance and character development either. Though the stories are short, the reader definitely gets into the head of these characters. My personal favorite was Playing for Keeps as the challenges Maddy had made me laugh out loud several times. Nevertheless, each story had a strong plot and a unique take on Private Games.
