The Hunt

Nicholas and Callandra are out on a hunt looking for fresh blood. The two vampires of the night meet in a seedy and crowded nightclub for a fun filled time of pleasure and gorging. Yet, what follows is a dark, erotic melee that leaves them both screaming in passion. The two beings are obviously meant for each other, and their love for danger is exciting, as well as exhilarating. You get to see them in action…literally…and their interludes grab and take hold of you.

Nicholas is a very dominant male, while Callandra is submissive but forceful. The two lead characters make for an interesting mix of wills.

Unfortunately, that is all this story has to offer. Even though the novella is well written and contains many passionate and action packed scenes, at a mere twenty-eight pages, it’s simply too short to bring anything else to the table. As the zeal between the main characters starts to draw you inside their wicked web, the story is suddenly over before you know it. This reviewer was left feeling unfulfilled, and very unsatisfied. Key elements were left unexplained, and as a short story this was just too brief to be meaningful.
