Melting Ice

Most men consider Bernie Gordon an ice maiden. She hasn’t had much luck in relationships, and most of the time she doesn’t mind. However as she organizes her company’s latest function, circumstances have her working in close quarters with the sexy Matt Furlong. This caterer is enough to melt any resistance she has. Unfortunately she can’t tell if he is interested or not.

It’s amazing what Misty Simon did with 17 pages. Melting Ice lets readers glance into the lives of two individuals and see how one chance event tempts them to want more. Ms. Simon has managed to craft two characters that are easy to like and that demonstrate a surprising depth. Readers are able to understand their hesitation and their secret desire for someone to love. The plot flows quickly and conveys everything a reader needs to be able to enjoy the story. The passion and eventual emotion that flares between them is well told and was a delight to read. Misty Simon is new to this reviewer, but she has impressed me with Melting Ice.
