Haunt Me, Taunt Me

It is Halloween night, and Jake wants to experience a good scare. Perhaps this goes back to childhood, when the best of times were when the thrill of being scared was anticipated.When his friend recommends the local carnival for a spooky, fun time, Jake decides to venture out and see for himself. He is disappointed because the carnival is not creepy, but rather cheesy. While walking around at the carnival, Jake hears a female voice, softly beckoning him. Immediately he is drawn to a tent, where a beautiful, naked and very feminine fortune teller informs him that his true love awaits him in the House of Mirrors. Against his better judgment, Jake enters the funhouse and approaches the mirrors, until he finds the one where a veiled, woman beckons him inside of it. This is where Jake learns the bittersweet truth about himself and reality.

Haunt Me, Taunt Me is one spooky but erotic story. The moral of this story is that the brutal truth about love and lust is not always what you expect. Everyone should read this story, for the impact will have you rethinking a lot about yourself and others. Ann Cory is definitely a writer who knows how to send shivers down your spine! I cannot wait to read more from her.
