Shawn Murray's marriage is falling apart. His wife, Hillary, has become a stranger to him. When they first fell in love, she was carefree and loving. This all changed the day the church people came to their door. Now, Hillary is obsessed with her religion and the elite Woman's Committee. All Hillary does is rant and rave about everyone and everything. Hillary finds displeasure with Shawn, no matter what he does. Shawn longs to make love to her for pleasure; she refuses on the stance that it is only to be for conception purposes. In an attempt to make Hillary happy, he purchases a practical office chair from the church fund-raising auction. With this office chair comes the spirit of a wanton, highly oversexed woman. For the first time in years, Shawn finds happiness. When Hillary finds out the truth about the chair's history, she decides to get rid of it. There will be hell to pay for this!

Nocturnique will draw the reader in with its dark tale of lust and loneliness. I felt myself feeling sorry for Shawn. For some reason, he never found the courage to stand up to his wife in the beginning of the book. Speaking of his wife Hillary, one has to wonder why she drastically changed once religion entered her life. I was hoping for a happy ending, and what an ending it is!! Definitely a nice ebook to add to your dark paranormal collection.
