Rubies, Sapphires, and Ivory

Niccolo Ascosi is a very wealthy man, as most vampires are. He had many years to accumulate his wealth and power. As with everything good, there has to be a downside. Niccolo is lonely. He samples the blood of his consorts but never indulges in a love affair. That is, until Ivory Allison literally walks into his life. He was just drinking his favorite wine at an exclusive restaurant, when she comes strolling into the place. Her golden hair, and voluptuous curves would be hard to miss. What really does him in, are her eyes the color of sapphires; her lips like rubies. Eventually he is honored with her presence at his dinner table. They talk for hours and he finds her intelligence refreshing. She could be the perfect companion he has been searching for. But how does one woo a human who insists on living her own life? For the first time in Niccolo's life, he just might be in love, and at loss as to what to do about it.

It is very nice to read about a self-assured rubenesque woman. Ivory has some insecurities, but don't we all? I enjoyed her intelligence and passionate nature. Niccolo compliments her well with his sophistication and delectable manners. Together, these two will delight and tease the reader with almost a cat and mouse type story. Nice addition to any vampire lover's collection.
