Something Worth Fighting For
Daniel Denham has been released from prison after two and half years, and it has been six months of freedom presently. He was falsely accused of rape by Mandy, a one night stand at a college party. After a change in his dreams, he realizes that something is about to radically take place in his life. Daniel must break free from the past and move forward in life. This is easier said then done. The first start is to call his former lawyer, Anne. She offers him a job, creating a website for her daughter Callie Lesters. He has mixed emotions about this. Gathering up all the courage he has left, he takes hold of this rare opportunity.
When he meets Callie, she is a vision of an angel to him. Callie is sweet, brave and honest. Daniel and Callie embark on a shaky ground of friendship that blooms into a rare type of love. But Daniel has many dark demons to confront from the past. He has experienced and done things in jail that have left him ashamed and withdrawn from reality. One of the side effects is his alter ego, Hunter. Hunter was one side of his personality that could take the abuse from others and hand it back. Callie must learn to deal with both sides of Daniel and help him learn to live again.
Callie is not without her own pains or sorrows. She has an ex boyfriend named Len who shattered her heart and self respect, six years ago. Now she and Len must find some kind of closure, so they can both move forward. Nothing is ever that easy. Daniel and Callie both learn that forgiveness is not mere words or even an action. It is a slow process that will take a long time to complete. They have a chance to accept the future and make a stand for love and sanity.
I have greatly condensed the book Something Worth Fighting For. This story is complex and very realistically written. Daniel and Callie will grab hold of your mind, heart and soul completely. This is an intense story about what it means to forgive and move on with your life, when it seems that even the most impossible situation cannot be escaped,or a door or window truly will be opened. I was amazed by the beauty and compassion that fills this book. A tear-jerker will have you praying for a happy ending. I must give a recommendation in the highest form for Something Worth Fighting For. You must experience this for yourself.
