Lip Lock
Molly Connors is definitely down on her luck. These days it seems as if nothing can go right. Molly’s job is the only bright spot in her otherwise disorderly life. She enjoys her new job and she really enjoys looking at her new boss. If it weren’t for her ‘no dating the boss’ rule, Molly would be even better. All Molly needs now is her job review and the promotions that comes with it, and she’ll be much better off. However, what should have been a simple performance review for her latest job turns into the most recent obstacles to overcome.
Kyle Ashton doesn’t trust easily. It’s the nature of his job that keeps him waiting for the next betrayal. So when one of his employees lies about even the simplest of things, he becomes even more guarded. Molly can’t help it. There are things about her she doesn’t want anyone to know, especially Kyle, and a little white lie here and there never hurt anyone. Yet, Molly is about to learn that she can’t be more wrong. Someone has been trying to steal and sell trade secrets from Kyle’s company. When he has reason to believe that the traitor is Molly, he fires her on the spot.
Lip Lock is laugh out loud funny. Susanna Carr never fails to give readers likable characters and a great plot, but it’s the humorous overturns in all of her novels that make her books must reads. Molly and her antics are hysterical. Molly is a notable and resourceful heroine. She’s penniless and has lost everything, but instead of complaining about her fate, she puts one foot in front of the other and does what needs doing. Molly and Kyle’s relationship is complicated. Both have sworn off the other but they are just too attracted to each other for that to last long. Kyle believes he can’t trust Molly, Molly knows that he can and the results of their power struggle are comical and charming. Lip Lock is a joyful and amusing read; one that should be at the top of your “to buy” list.
