Our One True Love

Scott Asher has been in love with DiAndra Collins since the first moment he saw her. Initially, when Scott realized that Di was more interested in his best friend, Wes, he gallantly stepped aside. For years Di and Wes were happy and he never begrudged them that, in fact Scott often spent time with them. Just because he’d lost the girl didn’t mean he wanted to lose his best friend as well.

Then, suddenly Wes was gone, leaving Di widowed. Both Di and Scott were devastated, but Scott did whatever he could to help Di cope with the loss. When Scott senses that Di is up to something he’s even more determined to be there for her and help her in any way he can. One thing Scott didn’t count on was that he just might end up with the girl after all.

Our One True Love is primarily told from Di’s point of view but it was Scott’s character that struck me the most. Di is a grieving widow and will do anything to be with her husband one last time. Scott on the other hand has already lost the woman he loves but then he loses his best friend as well. He doesn’t immediately think that Di can now be his. Ms. Willows aptly describes Scott’s love for the one woman he feels he’ll never have. Our One True Love reads like a moment in time. It’s complete with enough background information of the characters and resolves quickly and with a realistic outcome. There’s a paranormal aspect that completes this book and makes Our One True Love a great read.
