A Town Called Night

Jaynie and Hal are both paramedics at the local firehouse in Night. Leaving out on their route, they are about to change the course of their lives. Working a concert, Jaynie sees her chance to live out her childhood fantasy. Hal however has a secret that needs to be kept if he plans to continue his current employment. When Jaynie sets out to fulfill her deepest secret, she is unprepared for what she gets. If her secret desire crashing around her feet were not bad enough, Hal and Jaynie soon learn their secrets will cost them and someone else. Will Jaynie finally have what she has always wanted? Can Hal’s secret be exposed and find him happy that someone else knows? What will Jaynie and Hal be left with after this eventful night in a town called Night?

A Town Called Night offers readers a short story of a vampire and a woman that both crave something that might seem impossible. Jaynie is misguided in her assessment of Hal. When Jaynie understands what Hal is and what he needs, Jaynie can only jump at the chance. Hal is a secretive man that only wants what everyone else has: a life outside of the darkness. A Town Called Night is a quick read, but one that offers not only hot, sizzling romance but a touch of humor along the way. Pamela Downs has gone a great job writing an imaginative tale where the role and desires of a vampire are the opposite of all other vampire tales. - 4 Angels!
