Awakening Desires: Capturing Carly

This is the third installment in the Awakening Desires series.

Carly Ames and Nathan Connors have wanted each other for quite some time. Neither of them has acted upon their desire because Nathan is Erin’s brother and Carly is Erin’s best friend: this all changes one night.

Spending one night together, they end up engaged. Nathan is a protective man used to being in control. Carly is a strong-willed, independent woman. With the wedding looming and jobs that keep them busy, Carly finds herself unsure of being with Nathan. Nathan is concerned that Carly might not be sure about them and even worse, might not be prepared for his sexual appetite. Doing the only thing Nathan knows to do, he sets out to show Carly that they are right to be together and that he is not giving her up now that he finally caught her. Will Nathan be too much for Carly? Can an independent woman learn to accept a possessive, controlling man?

Capturing Carly is a passionate romance. Both Nathan and Carly offer readers characters that are realistic and compassionate. Nathan is someone that must be in control in the bedroom, but has a difficult time keeping it only in the bedroom. Carly loves the dominate side of Nathan, but is left confused when he is also dominate and affectionate in public. They are a wonderful compliment for each other. Readers will love both of these characters.

Although, I have not read the first two installments in the Awakening Desires series, I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to pick this book without being lost. N.J. Walters has done a wonderful job at writing a story that could be a stand alone, but also what I imagine is only an additional treat to the series. The chemistry between Nathan and Carly held me captive from the first page with its playful streak and then glued to my seat with the intensely hot display of passion. The additional character of Jackson adds humor to this story. I only hope that there is a story out there waiting to be written and read with Jackson as the main character. N.J. Walters has outdone herself with this wonderful romance that will leave readers consumed with emotions as Nathan and Carly’s story unfolds. Awakening Desires: Capturing Carly is truly worth 5 Angels!
