Draconus

Leida has been hiding for four years and has now been found. Being returned to the cave of the Dragons, she will be standing trial for the betrayal and thievery she committed against her master and lover, Magnus. She was prepared to stand before the dragon tribunal but not the very one she betrayed. When the tribunal leaves her punishment up to Magnus, she can only hope her formal lover and love of her life will spare her. Sentencing her to years of servitude, Magnus is unprepared for the desperation that consumes Leida. He cannot understand why she quivers in fear at the thought of being within his grasp once again. Having to know why, he forces his hand. This leaves Leida with no choice but to reveal her secret to him in hopes he will grant her one last desire. Will Magnus give Leida mercy and give her what she needs? Can Leida bring herself to explain her betrayal to Magnus? Can Magnus and Leida find the passion that once consumed them again?

Grace Draven offers readers a wonderful story of magic and dragons. Magnus is very definitely an alpha male dragon that protects what is his, gets what he wants, and shows no mercy to those that put what he values in harm, but he can also be a gentle and compassionate lover. Leida is a mere human woman consumed with very human emotions that she has a difficult time dealing with. Both characters finds themselves riddled with a variety of emotions continuously. I thoroughly enjoyed the depth their characters brought to the story. The beauty that unfolds within the pages of this story is heartfelt and rewarding. Draconus is a story that is absolutely worth reading. Anyone that picks up this tale will not be disappointed. Grace Draven has done a tremendous job writing a story worth 5 Angels!
