Outback Sizzle

Cassie Mitchell has a plan and lucky for her Maisie, Chase’s mom, is helping her with it. She is traveling across the world to play the part of Chase’s companion. She has a thesis to write and he is going to be the featured participant unbeknownst to him though. Plus, she has dreamed of him for years, ever since her brother brought a picture of the two of them home. Maybe just maybe she will get the chance to spend quality time between the sheets with him in the process of writing her paper. She is hoping anyway. Will Cassie get what she wants from Chase? If she does, what might it cost her?

Chase O’Connor is a beautiful, strong Aussie cowboy who just happens to have a mother that doesn’t mind her own business when it comes to Chase and woman. When a new woman drops into his lap, he is none to happy about it despite what his body’s vote might be. To make matters worse, he learns that she is there for reasons other than the ones he was told. Being the man that he is, he is left plotting his revenge and knows he will thoroughly enjoy it too. What man would not want to have his cake and eat it too? However, will his revenge leave him full of joy or bitterly empty?

Outback Sizzle is a humorous short story filled with many twist and turns followed by one lie after another. There is not a character in this tale that doesn’t have a hidden agenda. Cassie has a feisty and determined attitude that just might get the best of her. Chase is a stubborn man that has a difficult time remembering that he doesn’t need a woman in his life. The chemistry between the two quickly develops into sizzling passion that will leave readers wishing they had a billabong of their own. The humor and realism that Maisie offers is heartfelt and touching to see the lengths a mother will go to bring her son some happiness. Outback Sizzle was a delightful romance that will give readers a smile or two along the way: that is if they are not in tears from laughing like I was. Alexis Fleming has created an outstanding story, set in a wonderful place, which will surely engross readers within the first couple of pages. 5 Angels!
