The Chamelyon’s Curse is the first installment in the Shifting Lust Series.

Kyra Issarei is a Chamelyon shape-shifter; the last of her kind. Her job as a body-decoy is about to land her in more trouble than she is prepared for. Taking on the form of Princess Xia, she is kidnapped by Xia’s arch enemy, Warlord Mur’dek. If being held hostage by him was not enough, the virgin Princess she has become is not quite a virgin and Mur’dek plans to dominate her to fulfill his sexual desires. This places Kyra in great danger: if he brings her to the peak of satisfaction, she will momentarily change back into the form of Kyra instead of the Princess. Will she be able to get herself out of trouble?

Raiven a’Tor is the one and only, infamous bounty hunter. It is rumored that he has a death wish and he just might since he lost the love of his life years ago. When he is summoned by the King of the Five Moons, he has no idea that this one job will change his life. The King’s daughter, Xia, has been taken and is being held for ransom by the cruel Warlord Mur’dek. Raiven sets out to save Xia, but also looks forward to the chance to kill the one man responsible for taking his beloved Chamelyon shape-shifter. Will he be prepared for what he finds when he regains possession of Xia?

The Chamelyon’s Curse is a fast paced futuristic sci-fi that immediately captures the reader’s attention. This story is riddled with unique and interesting characters: some are devious, some hideous, and some consumed with emotions that will leave readers draw to them. Raiven is a man devastated by losing his one true love even though he doesn’t even know her name. Kyra has been running to save herself and also to protect the one she desperately cares for. Each character is strong willed yet tender and compassionate. A wonderful combination. This is the first story in this series and I look forward to the opportunity to read the next installment. If it is half as good as this one, I won’t be disappointed. Although, I imagine it will only add to this tremendous story. Kyra’s tale is plagued with danger and emotions along the way. Readers will finds themselves cheering for Kyra to get away and yet be found by Raiven at the same time. Lexxie Couper has done an outstanding job writing Shifting Lust 1: The Chamelyon’s Curse and earned 5 Angels in the process!
