The Other Half

Sabine Tate has once again found herself riddled with suitors. Being a were female, she is pursued by every unmated were male within the distance of her scent. But none of the eligible men have come close to being the man of her dreams. While sleeping each night, she dreams of her ideal man: the one that cherishes her and does not claim her as a werewolf would. For this, she has turned her back on her were half, chosen to live life to the fullest outside of her father’s pack and den in the city, and never mated with a werewolf. Unfortunately, no one told one particular werewolf, Roman Silva, this. He has had a life filled with few people he can trust: one as an outcast. Roman is a true alpha male without a pack of his own. Roman embraces his wolf side and when he finds his mate, is driven to take what is his. Can two werewolves so different from each other find what they both want in each other? Will Roman be strong enough to withstand Sabine’s stubbornness, yet tender enough to satisfy her other half?

The Other Half is a quick read that immediately draws readers in with Sabine’s frustrations of dating as a female werewolf. Sabine’s desire to have what a human female would have: courtship, passion, independence, and a strong man to love her, drives her withdrawal from wanting to mate as she should. Looking for that one werewolf that can awaken both her human and wolf side consumes Sabine to the point she can not accept any thing less than the one she dreams of. Roman’s desire to have what he never did growing up – a pack – pushes him to find and take the mate that nature deems as his. When he finds her, he has difficulties understanding the emotional side of a human female. Both characters provide readers with realistic emotions and concerns as well as hot, passionate chemistry.

This is Jayelle Drewry’s first published work and I am not sure where to start; it was superb. It was a pleasure to watch their struggles and emotions unfold with each new page. Readers will not be disappointed with this wonderful tale of two werewolves that are only really one half of themselves until that special someone awakens their heart and completes them. I can only hope that there are more stories waiting to be told as Roman and his pack of outlasts thrive to and complete, the task of creating a pack of their own. Jayelle Drewry has done a tremendous job writing this paranormal romance and making a fan out of me. The Other Half is definitely worth taking the time to curl up in a comfy chair in front of a fireplace and spend an evening reading. 5 Angels!
