Mr. Far From Perfect

Being the top executive or owner of a business is hard. It requires long hours of work, and sweating it out each month just hoping the bills can be paid. Unfortunately, many times love gets pushed to the side and almost forgotten.

Such is the case with Roni Dey and Tim Starling. Roni owns her own shop, and Tim is the CEO of his family’s business. Three years ago, Roni and Tim were the most contented of lovers. But as Roni lovingly got her shop going and dreamed of a long life with Tim, he on the other hand, while he loved being with Roni, felt the business came first. So when Roni started to talk of marriage, Tim ended the relationship.

Now, three years later, Tim decides he had been wrong and it is time to win Roni back. Roni keeps saying she wants nothing to do with Tim anymore. Or does she?

I found this to be the sweetest romance I have read in a while. I was smiling and laughing throughout the story as I watched the two former lovers stumble over their own insecurities and misconceptions. It was like watching an old-time romantic movie.

I also found it intriguing to watch Roni and Tim face what many people do, and that is to suddenly come to the realization that what they are doing is not really making them happy. The author did a wonderful job of representing this is a realistic fashion.

This is a great story to read on a rainy afternoon with your cup of tea and blanket.
