I Know Who You Did Last Summer
When Patricia Guevara receives a mysterious note at work that says “I know who you did last summer,” she’s intrigued and a bit annoyed. Who is sending her these notes? With instructions to meet at a club later in the evening, Patricia sets out with some trepidation to meet her mystery note writer…to discover it’s her coworker, Clint Donovan! She’s always been attracted to him, but she also thinks he has been spreading nasty rumors about her at work. She certainly isn’t going to trust anything he has to say. But instead, she’s all ears when Clint asks her to be his sub. He’s been attracted to her for a long time and now he finally has an opportunity to take that attraction to the next level. Patricia can’t say no. She’s longed for a man to dominate her for quite a while now and Clint seems like the perfect candidate.
So begins their relationship, tenuous and fragile, but very emotional with lots of sizzling sex and a growing trust quite at odds with Patricia’s bossy exterior at work. Will these two finally have a chance at happiness or is someone destined to sabotage their budding emotional bond?
I Know Who You Did Last Summer drew me in from page one. Patricia is a very strong character and watching her fall under the spell of Clint’s dominant personality was both lovely and intriguing. Eve Vaughn crafted the character of Patricia to be a very forceful woman, but she is also in touch with her own sexuality enough to know what she wants in a man, and after an initial hesitation, not afraid to go after it. Clint’s loving presence in the story was equally wonderful to read about as he tutored Patricia in the ways of the D/s relationship. Theirs was a relationship of equals, and I really liked that and felt Ms. Vaughn did a phenomenal job of writing the relationship in such a way that Patricia wasn’t forced to give up her own strength in favor of Clint’s. If you’re a fan of bondage and submission stories, you will truly enjoy I Know Who You Did Last Summer. It’s a great combination of electric sexual tension and loving trust.
