Crina Vyrdelek, the Golden Girl of Golden Realty, has taken realty to a new level with her willingness to do almost anything to sell a house. Bobby is a were-seeing-eye dog by day and a reliable driver by night. After watching Crina put herself on the line time after time without knowing how he feels about her, he decides to put his cards on the table.

George Zagorsky is the first openly undead congressman and is secretly enamored with the first daughter, Maeve, a bona fide banshee. George has been struggling with the repercussions of undead Confederate veterans trying to receive veteran’s rights.

Against these two couples is the might of the United States government in the form of a proposed bill: the Same Species Marriage Bill. Can they take on ‘The Man’ and win?

This book continues the quirky humor that seems to be Jackie Rose’s forte. With ideas like starving e-book authors selling blood to hungry vampires and blatant self-promotion as running jokes, this book was a laugh a page. Crina was an interesting character as was Bobby. George and Maeve were fun, but I really enjoyed the First Lady. As a witch, a real one, not like Hilary, she was my favorite. I truly enjoyed the twisted humor and hope for more. I look forward to reading about the other brides of Count Vyrdelek and cannot wait to hear what happens to the President next time!
