Out of the Darkness

Harlee has always wanted to be different, when she found out that she was, she couldn’t believe it! She didn’t want to believe it. She has dreamed of vampires and werewolves her entire life, but until she went to work for the government she didn’t even know they existed. Now, she’s been thrown into the supernatural world as the only known lycan/vampire offspring.

Not only is she expected to believe that everything she’s known is a lie, but she’s also told to do whatever is needed to bring her latent abilities to the fore. The way to do this? Have sex with a vampire and a lycan at the same time. Can Harlee put aside the years of propaganda that she has been privy to while working with the government?

This book caught me right from the prologue. I had tears welling in my eyes from the emotion that these two authors evoked. The first chapter took me in a whole different emotional direction. Harlee’s struggle, combined with her refusal to believe that she’s different, was great. She truly believed that she was human and the only hope to destroy the lycans and the vampires. The journey she made was masterfully written. The two men chosen to ‘free’ her were entirely too yummy. One at a time was fabulous, but both? Wow. This was a great book and it set up the possibility for a delicious series. I cannot wait for more!!
