Kat Daniels, a chemist for Hot Spot, a design and testing company for sex toys, has been told by the VP that her latest toy surge did not produce the sales they were looking for and if she wants to keep her job then she must come up with an incredible product. Kat knows she was only given such a hard time from the VP because she rebuffed him at last years’ Christmas party, therefore she is determined to show her boss up and prove that she and her partner Mike Benson could come up with a stellar product. Kat is looking forward to collaborating on a new product with her handsome partner and is thrilled when he suggests they start testing the products themselves to see just how they performed.

Licks & Promises is a hot and steamy erotic short story with an interesting story line and appealing characters. Kat is a smart, attractive, single woman who tries to keep her feelings bottled up and wants to keep the testing as research only. Mike is an intelligent and handsome man who takes the product research personally. I enjoyed watching this story and its characters come together and thought that author Shawna Moore did a fabulous job in creating this sizzling tale.
