The Deed

Natalie Franklin has just had a painful break-up with her boyfriend, Paul, and decided to spend Christmas at her parents’ beach house on the Gulf of Mexico in the hopes of clearing her mind and heart of the hurt. Natalie and Paul had lived together for five years when Paul informed her that he was leaving her because he was gay. Natalie knew they had not had much of a relationship but was shocked and hurt by his announcement. She decided that with her family away, she would spend the holidays at the beach house where she still felt at home.

Natalie arrives at the beach house to find Drew, her childhood friend who had stayed in the beach house during the summers with his parents, who owned half of the house. Natalie had a big crush on Drew while they were growing up and had been embarrassed when she asked him to kiss her and he turned her down. Natalie realizes that she is still attracted to him and wants to leave the beach house but is reluctant to leave him alone on his first Christmas since loosing losing his parents. Can Natalie fight her feelings for Drew or will their time together change everything?

The Deed is a fabulous erotic short story at its best. The passion between Natalie and Drew is hot, sexy, and sweet. Natalie is a woman who knew her relationship was going nowhere and craved something more, but was not ready for it to end like it did. Drew is a strong man that misses his parents and does not know how to grieve for them. Natalie and Drew come together in a way that gives them both some peace as they renew the friendship they had always shared. I highly enjoyed The Deed and give it 5 Angels and a Recommended Read.
